Swindon in 25 streets is coming soon. Well, I say soon – but I suspect publication will be early 2027. I have to get the first draft to Amberley Books late this year.
Having got my most recent project, Swindon in 50 More Buildings, launched at the back end of 2025, I’m now getting to grips with getting on with my 2026 project – the aforementioned.
The research & writing process has begun – below are links to a couple of posts on streets. One that will go into the book – and one that won’t because it’s in the wider borough. Ergo it can’t.

First up is Ferndale Road. This piece needs some work I reckon, but it’s a definite inclusion in the book:
Then there’s Supermarine Road in South Marston. An interesting road for its connections to wartime and Spitfire production so good to reflect here even if it can’t go into the book.
