I’ve featured Ken several times on Born again Swindonian – find my posts about Ken here: https://swindonian.me/category/artscultureheritage/ken-white/

Along with other Swindon artists he features too in my first book, Secret Swindon.

A review

This blog post from Creative Wiltshire is a nice review of the book.

‘… Ken is a Swindonian through and through, depicting the town and his relationship with it through his art. It is right that this account, excellently written by Angela Atkinson, is a part of his legacy. It is a thoroughly enjoyable read, recommended for anyone who has an interest in Swindon or in modern art.

For Walls with Tongues

‘For Walls With Tongues’ (FWWT) is an oral history of the mural movement in the United Kingdom. It charts the lives and experiences of some of the muralists active in the period 1966 to 1985. We created it from interviews with thirty British muralists working around the country, recorded between November 2017 and September 2018.

We’ve included studies of five muralists who we could not interview. We’re wonderfully fortunate to be able to include an essay by Professor Bill Rolson on the external murals of Northern Ireland.

We produced For Walls With Tongues as a book and website – which allows us to say and show more.

Ken White is one of the artists featured in For Walls with Tonguesyou can see his contribution here: https://www.forwallswithtongues.org.uk/artists/ken-white/
