Donald Edward Rogers entered the world on 25th October 1945 in Paulton, Somerset. He Joined Swindon Town in January 1961 aged 15. He turned professional in October 1962 and made his debut in November 1962. In his first spell at the club he played 400 games and scored 147 goals. During that time he helped Town win promotion from the Third to the Second Division twice and win the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1970. He also scored two goals when the then Third Division Swindon beat the mighty Arsenal 3-1 at Wembley to win the League Cup in 1969.

Paralympian Receives Honorary Award
Paralympian Louise Hunt Skelley PLY has received a Special Recognition Award. The honour comes for her tireless work in the media, in the world of wheelchair tennis, and in being a champion for diversity and inclusion.
Louise is a former British wheelchair tennis athlete and Paralympian from Wroughton, Swindon. She attended the South West Business & Community Awards as a nominee in the hotly- contested category of Female Entrepreneur of the Year.

On Friday, March 7th, the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, Dame Sarah Troughton, presented Big Breakfast Plus, a Swindon-based charity, with the Kings Award for Voluntary Service.

Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre Nominated for two UK Pantomime Association awards. Actor Ben Goffe, who won the hearts of the audience as lovable Buttons received a nomination for the Best Comic Award. Whilst the wickedly talented duo, Eleanor Burke and Sophie Hirst, received nominations for the Best Sisters Award.
