Optimum opens doors for Swindon food bank donations
Optimum Swindon Food Bank Support
Generous staff at accountancy and law firm Optimum are hoping to beat last year’s record. They want to collect even more donations for Swindon’s food bank.
And, to help boost the haul still further, the Swindon firm is encouraging clients and visitors to pop items into their reception.
Last year, the team collected enough to fill eight large crates for Swindon Food Collective and already donations are coming in.
‘As a team, we are great at coming together to do our bit to help the community,’ said Tracey Heath, Practice Manager.
‘We always have a main charity we support throughout the year and we like to help others along the way. This year and next year, we are raising funds for Youth Adventure Trust and have already raised more than £2,500.’
During the festive season, Swindon Food Collective in particular wants Christmas items. Everything from mince pies to Christmas puddings and cakes to boxed chocolates and biscuits. Not forgetting gravy granules and boxes of stuffing, Christmas crackers and children’s toiletries. Everyday items too. Such things as tinned meat, fruit or fish, toiletries, pet food, cereal and cleaning products are also needed.
