Cotswold Day Nursery Expanding
The team at one of the Cotswold’s leading day nurseries for children aged three months to five years, is growing. Gooseberry Bush Day Nursery, based at the Cotswold Business Park in Kemble, was first set up almost 18 years ago. Since then it’s seen 100s of local children pass through its doors. Now it needs more staff to cope with a growing demand as life edges back to normal, furloughing phases out and the summer holidays end.

Business manager Ellie L’Esteve said: ‘We’re looking for early years practitioners who love working with children. And further would relish the opportunity to work within a setting ranked ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted.

We cherish our staff here and we develop their expertise and help them gain new skills and qualifications. That way they become leaders in providing exceptional early years care for these precious children.’

The team are currently recruiting for:
1. An apprentice early years’ practitioner
2. A qualified early years’ practitioner …
3. … and a senior early years’ practitioner (level 3 or above).

One team member is Gemma Wyatt. She’s been at Gooseberry Bush Day Nursery for the last 16 years and is a qualified early years’ practitioner. She said: ‘I always wanted to work with children. I came here after attending college and getting my first qualification in early years’ childcare. I’ve worked with babies, toddlers and pre-school children and I’ve loved it.

‘We have a lovely team here, we work very hard but it’s such a rewarding job. We pull together to ensure we give the best care for the children in our setting. I love seeing the children grow, learn, play and simply enjoy being here.’
