Quartet of new recruits for Optimum Professional Services – OPS
OPS Gets New Recruit Quartet
Optimum Professional Services has appointed four new employees and is continuing to recruit. The newbies will work across its legal and accountancy divisions.
The Swindon-based company opened offices in Cheltenham back in March.
OPS have taken on Michelle Hasson at its new private client manager. She’ll work with the legal team and overseeing the wills and probate service. Also joining the legal division is Sue Hobbs as legal secretary.
Michelle is a qualified solicitor in England, Wales and South Africa. Further she has experience of working in each. Sue’s career in law started after leaving school. At that time she became an office junior at a solicitors’ firm and she has worked as a PA/legal secretary ever since.
The accountancy division have welcomed Sam Townsend as a bookkeeper and Paige Baskerville as trainee accountant and bookkeeper.
Sam began her career in the banking sector, before moving into accounts preparation. After a career break she retook her AAT qualifications and returned to accounting/bookkeeping. Paige has a background in admin, sales and secretarial. But for the last three years she’s studied for her AAT qualifications and is currently on Level 3.
Hot on the heels of a takeover
The four new appointments come hot on the heels of OPS’s takeover of Chris Mattos Tax, based in Stroud. Then two of Chris’s team also joined the firm – Liz Grange, as Payroll Manager and Laura Jenkinson, as a trainee accountant.
Mike Blaken, the firm’s accounts director, said recruiting the new team members reflected the company’s growing client base and increasing demand for seamless accountancy and legal services.
‘At Optimum, our clients have the benefit of accountancy and legal services under one roof. We can offer a more comprehensive service, which means we can do more for clients,” he said. “Our spring expansion into Gloucestershire and taking over Chris Mattos Tax, has also introduced us to a new and ever-growing client base.’
The firm are recruiting for further team members. They’re seeking a paralegal for the legal division and accountant and tax assistant for the accountancy team.
