The Penny Readings

Hooray! Today was the day of the September Penny Readings. That wonderful, poetry and prose filled frolicsome venture between Poetry Swindon, Swindon Civic Voice and the Mechanics’ Institute Trust. 

The Penny Readings are great fun and a fabulous connector between sections of the community. The next one is on the last Tuesday of October so come along and have some fun. Oh – they’re at the Central Community Centre from 11am to 1pm.

Today a regular attendee at the Penny Readings, Royston Cartwright, read a poem of his own creation about Coate Water. It’s really rather splendid so here it is:
